SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed concerning the higher number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The support stage created for intervention experiences a significant inflow SRD of possible beneficiaries, that makes status sassa it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
